Fumero’s artistic journey began at 4 years old drawing bubble figures that developed into cartoons as a kid, graffiti as a teenager, and the art of the abstracted figure in art school. When Fumero enrolled as an undergrad student at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, it led him to the crossroads of a harmonious interaction among line, shape and color to form a unique path of artistic exploration he calls Grafstract.
GRAFSTRACT - THE "ISM" OF FUMEROISM
Grafstract combines two genres of art, which is graffiti and abstract art. Over the last 11 years, Fumero has been “fumeroizing” the streets with “gorilla wallfare”, painting murals on walls and roll-gates, transforming the barren and lifeless into the colors of life.
Fumero has been showing his art work inside art galleries since 2010 in cities such as Chicago, Miami, and New York City. In 2012, he began “grafstracting” murals internationally in cities such as Berlin, Copenhagen, London, and in countries such as Brazil, Italy and Spain.
